Makeup Artist Workshop and Networking

February 23, 2010

Last night, Vanity Girl Hollywood sponsored my girl Kenetia Lee’s free workshop for makeup artists (MUA). She was giving some on-the-ground tips for hard-working MUA’s on how she created her Hollywood career that they may use to propel theirs. Her career highlights include being repped by super agency Cloutier, as well as spokesperson for Revlon and L’oreal.

At any rate, it was a great evening at Naimie’s. Questions flying back and forth and lots of resource sharing. This IS how things happen in Hollywood. And one of the most exciting things for me? Meeting these hard working pros who LOVE our vanities. It was so validating to hear from the front lines and chat with them.

So here is a lovely article from MUA (and Vanity Girl) Jessica M. She was fast! This went up last night right AFTER the event.

All in all, it was a really great night.  Thanks to Jessica and Leslie for spreading the Vanity Girl message of life, liberty and the pursuit of glamour for every gal!!  Make sure to visit their blogs and Twitter.  You know I am all about supporting Girl Power and each other’s creativity.

xoxo Maxi

Thank you so much for mentioning me Maxine! It was quite a drive back to Temecula. It was soo worth going because I got to meet you and Kenetia and soak up a bit of her wisdom. I had a great time gabbing with you about your product like girlfriends. That’s one of the things that I love most about the industry is that people have such a passion for what they do! Thank you for making such a great product! I absolutely loved promoting your product to my favorite local Sephora sales girl today! She’s really excited to get her vanity. I love promoting great products! I will definitely need more of your business cards so I can tell all the girls at my cosmetology school about Vanity Girl! Then we can all be Vanity Girl Sisters! Thanks again! – LeslieAnn
